The farmhouses and country houses in Bauge

Some 35 minutes drive to the north west of saumur, a charming 3 bedroom restored cottage with a large outbuilding which currently has a studio, workshop and garaging and loads of potential for creating a small gite. there is a pretty garden of 4266m² (just under 1 acre) which is enclosed and has electric gates.the nearby village - under 10 minutes by bike - has a very good bar/restaurant and a baker. the historic market town of baugé with its chateau, 2 weekly markets and excellent golf course is less than 10 minutes drive away for the bigger weekly shop. the roads in the area are very good and it is easy to travel around the loire valley and visit its chateaux and other popular tourist destinations. there are excellent communications with the uk and regular flights from the regional airports of tours, nantes and angers to the uk. the nearest channel port is about 2.5 hours drive and it is between 5.5 and 6 hours drive to the channel tunnel. tgv trains run from angers, tours and le mans with connections to saumur.
